Poverty in Local Communities
Poverty is generally defined as a state deprivation in which individuals or communities lack the financial resources and access to basic necessities needed to meet their basic needs and enjoy a minimum standard of living. As the demand for goods and services continues to rise, the availability of supply decreases. To counteract such problems the government and sellers are forced to increase the prices of goods. Which in turn affects local communities who are keeping one’s nose to the grindstone for their families to have food on their table.
As students from the University of San Carlos, we participated in an activity known as community immersion. During this immersion, we conducted interviews with community members, who generously shared their personal stories and the societal issues they faced. The stories we heard deeply impacted us and increased our resolve to bring about positive change in our society. These challenges include an array of issues such as poverty, inflation, corruption, and others. These issues have had a significant impact on their lives and overall condition. Despite their difficulties, they display remarkable resilience and remain content regardless of how they are living now.
What is our Purpose ?

We built this website to serve as an informational platform, with the goal of educating individuals about multiple societal issues such as inflation, addiction, and poverty. The site aims to increase awareness, foster understanding, and stimulate educated discussions about these pressing problems by providing pertinent and intriguing content. Beyond raising awareness, we hope to create important conversations and motivate collective action. Collaboration is essential for addressing these challenges, and our objective is to create a platform where individuals can connect, learn from one another, and collaborate on innovative and effective solutions.
